Applied Ayurveda: Assessing Ayurvedic Blueprint

  • New Yoga Now 3131a Bull Street Savannah, GA, 31405 (map)

In this weekend-long module, you’ll learn to assess ayurvedic blueprints and apply ayurvedic ‘opposite therapy’ using asana, subtle body practices, and lifestyle rituals.

This module will help you curate potent offerings based on ayurvedic blueprints for the season and/or the person.

According to Ayurveda, everything has an appropriate time, but not everything is appropriate for everyone. Assessing Ayurvedic blueprints will help you support yourself and others on the yogic journey by confidently applying ‘opposite therapy’ for health and harmony.

The module will review foundational Ayurvedic theory: 5 elements, three doshas, and the Ayurvedic time clock. You’ll discover your current Ayurvedic blueprint and explore the connecting thread of yoga and Ayurveda, prana, through the sub-doshas of vata.

Learn to confidently apply ‘opposite therapy’ to sequence ayurvedic asana classes and skillfully use meditation and pranayama through an ayurvedic lens. You’ll also explore ways to curate appropriate lifestyle rituals for yourself and others based on blueprint assessments.

You’ll leave the weekend with a clearer understanding of how to assess a blueprint for inherent strengths and possible challenges. Applying an ayurvedic approach in your teaching can offer deeply nourishing support to others and yourself.
