Yoga Nidra to Honor Nature's New Year
Please join Shea as she guides you through a practice to honor Nature's New Year!
The Spring Equinox is a time to honor the cycles of rebirth and renewal. During the winter months, nature has seemingly laid dormant or at least been much quieter, and the equinox marks nature's New Year. We begin to notice flowers blooming, trees budding, birds singing, and longer days with warming temperatures. Nature feels alive, powerful, and abundant. And because we are a reflection of nature, this period is also our own New Year! Where the winter months may have found us searching for all things hygge and turning our awareness inward, the Spring Equinox reminds us that it's time to use the insights of stillness and inner reflection to rebirth ourselves into the world. Spring reminds us that nature has a purpose but not necessarily a "goal" to achieve; just as we are human beings and not "human doings." Nature asks us to just show up, turn our faces to the sun and receive her nourishment. It is through the practices of yoga asana, yoga nidra, and self-inquiry, that Shea hopes to remind you that now is the time of rebirth and renewal; it is time to shine your light for the world to see!
All are welcome.
