Day Three - Daily Meditation:
Committing to Your Sankalpa
Now that you have taken the time to refine your sankalpa, it is time to commit. Over the coming days meditate on your chosen sankalpa, without changing it, without adjusting it, without being distracted by other intentions or obligations that may come up. Stay true to your heart felt intention. Let it be the center of your meditation practice.
Find a quiet time and place, free from distractions.
Set a timer for 5 to 10 minutes. Sit or lie comfortably.
- Begin today’s meditation by focusing on your breath, allowing it to become smooth and calm.
- Start to recall your sankalpa - or intention - that you have refined since our initial yoga nidra session.
- Once again, for today, let your work be to resist allowing the mind to drift. Stay resolute in your commitment and focus on your sankalpa.
- Repeat your sankalpa to yourself in rhythm with your breath.
- Once your timer ends, repeat your sankalpa one last time.
- Bring your hands to prayer at heart center and thank yourself for taking this time to commit to your sankalpa and your meditation.
